QUEST Substitutes was founded by Oklahoma educator Kristen Wells after she spent five years specializing in substitute staffing, where she recruited, hired, trained, and managed hundreds of substitutes at a time—often overseeing a pool of 300–400 educators serving multiple districts. She has also spent nearly a decade in the classroom and is currently teaching.
Through this experience, Kristen saw firsthand how challenging it can be for schools to find dependable substitutes who are ready to step into classrooms and keep learning on track. She also recognized the importance of having a dedicated staffing partner who truly understands the needs of administrators, teachers, and students. Most importantly, she built a corporate team with substitute, administrative, and teaching backgrounds. That is not always the case with huge nationwide companies.
She founded QUEST Substitutes in Tulsa to provide schools with dependable, well-prepared substitutes and a partner who understands the realities of the classroom. As a locally owned company led by an educator, QUEST is committed to supporting schools, teachers, and students across Oklahoma.
